Between 3rd and 5th April, Feria de Madrid will host the staging of 7th Diverse Select Products Fair Toys and Party 2008, which will bring together the products and services of some 420 brands from the multi-product industry at this edition, including many of the leading companies from this field. This sector will focus its commercial activity on bulk selling, on promoting quality, on taking advantage of new opportunities and on the strong fashion dimension of its products.

The seventh edition of this fair, which is organised by Ifema, has consolidated its role as an effective promotional and business tool, a meeting forum for manufacturers, wholesalers, importers, distributors and retailers and one of the most solid and representative points of reference for the international market.

Once again on this occasion, the Multi-Product exhibition will provide professionals with a wide-ranging perspective of current mass-consumer products, based on the emergence of thousands of new ideas, including an extensive selection of  the following items: ideas for summer sales campaigns and for making the most of our leisure and free time; new features aimed at children and young people  (toys, stationery, sports items and school items); the latest equipment for the home; household furnishings; decorative products; hardware; DIY items; fashion jewellery; cosmetics; fashion accessories; and items for Christmas, Halloween and Carnival. These, among many other products, will be on show throughout a gross exhibition area measuring 35,000 square metres. This endless selection of product ranges and lines will be available to the general public at superstores, decoration shops, multi-product establishments, retailers and bazaars in just a matter of weeks.

Visitors from More Than 34 Countries

7th Diverse Select Products Fair Toys and Party 2008 will continue to strengthen its role as a representative of the industry on the foreign markets. Furthermore, the fair will boost its international dimension with the attendance of 80 foreign brands, mainly from Germany, Bangladesh, China, France, India, Nepal, Morocco, Pakistan and Portugal, countries that account for somewhat more than 20% of overall participation. With regard to visitors, the organisers predict that the fair will surpass the 5,000 registered professionals recorded last year, more than 10% of whom attended the fair from abroad, coming mainly from Portugal, Italy, France, the United Kingdom, Mexico, Croatia, Algeria, Serbia and Malta. To these visitors we must add a large group of buyers from Germany, India, Cyprus, Venezuela, Morocco, Israel, Hungary, Estonia, Uruguay and New Zealand, thus enhancing the fair's influence in a number of more distant countries.

A Highly Flexible Industry

The multi-product industry is characterised by its rapid adaptation to the new tastes and needs of the general public, which means that it can introduce the latest trends to any part of the world within a very short space of time. Furthermore, in recent years the industry has also undergone a process of diversification, based on the emergence of small boutiques in which fashion and cutting-edge trends predominate, especially with regard to textiles.
The industry has also stepped up its efforts to focus on quality, as witnessed by the growing concern of businessmen to cater for consumer demands in this respect. We might also highlight the sector's compliance with all the legal standards.
