BI-MU Mediterranea 2008
BI-MU Mediterranea, tailor-made solutions at Fiera del Levante, from 21 to 24 February 2008, in parallel with Macplas ‘08
After attaining the prestigious qualification of “international exhibition”, thanks to the growing success obtained with exhibitors and visitors, BI-MU MEDITERRANEA will held its sixth edition, from Thursday 21 to Sunday 24 February 2008, in the fairground of FIERA DEL LEVANTE.
The protagonists of the event are the manufacturers of machine tools, robots and automation, who have set up targeted solutions to meet the demand of the market having its natural centre in the city of Bari: Central-Southern Italy, the Balkan countries, Southern-Eastern Europe and Southern Africa.
Among the most innovative proposals, special systems are on display, based on functional modularity, easily and rapidly adaptable to production changes, enabling the user-industry to be equipped with supple facilities, characterized by flexibility and capacity of reconfiguration. Not casually, the techniques that are peculiar to metal forming, metal cutting and automation are more and more often summed up in one single, integrated production process, carried out by technologically “hybrid” combinations, aiming at efficiency and low costs.
Organized by ENTE AUTONOMO FIERA DEL LEVANTE availing itself of the co-operation of the specialized structures of UCIMU-SISTEMI PER PRODURRE, the Italian Association of the sector Manufacturers, the sixth edition of BI-MU MEDITERRANEA is likely to repeat the success of the edition 2006.
The fifth edition of the trade show registered the participation of 9,000 operators (+ 7.5% versus 2004), interested in the products presented by 300 enterprises, on a total net exhibition surface of 8,000 sq m. Besides the great number of Italian exhibitors (70% of the total), the exhibition recorded the attendance of a wide representative of manufacturers from Japan, Germany, Taiwan, Great Britain, United States and Switzerland.
The international character of the event was emphasized by the participation of exhibitors coming from Austria, Belgium, Belorussia, Canada, China, South-Korea, Finland, France, Israel, Holland, Czech Republic, Republic of San Marino, Russia, Sweden, Turkey and Venezuela.
Free admittance (from 9.30 a.m. to 6.00 p.m., from Thursday 21 to Saturday 23; from 9.30 a.m. to 3.30 p.m., on Sunday 24) to the sixth edition of BI-MU MEDITERRANEA will be offered to operators, press and schools, who will also have the opportunity to visit MACPLAS ’08, the exhibition for the Plastics and Rubber Industry taking place in the same days.
