CPM July 08: On July 27 Igedo Fashion Fairs will present in Düsseldorf the Spring/Summer 09 trends
On Sunday the Igedo Fashion Fairs Düsseldorf will open their doors again. Over 1,750 exhibitors and collections in total will present the 2009 Spring/Summer trends from 27 to 29 July 2008. These also include 200 new exhibitors. The brands you can expect to find when visiting the CPD, HMD and Body Look trade fairs are represented by the following small but sophisticated selection:
-• CPD
-• HMD
-• Body Look
New in the maternity Segment The market for high-quality, high-fashion maternity wear is growing more strongly than ever before. In Hall 10 of CPD you will find the who’s who of internationally renowned brands. Market leaders like Esprit Maternity, Noppies and Queen Mum from the Netherlands, La Robe Bleue from Israel and bellybutton from Germany will all be showcasing their trend-oriented collections. Some of the brands presenting their news at Igedo Fairs July 2008 are: Noppies One of the leading players in the maternity segment is the Dutch label Noppies. In Summer 2009 Noppies will be sharpening its focus on details and colours. “Women also want to look good during pregnancy. But they don’t always buy an entirely new wardrobe for this. Flexible clothing is required here. This season’s garment is a tube dress. You can wear it as a strapless dress, a long skirt or a pleat-look tunic,” says Creative Director Wendy Walet. Noppies is also known for the excellent fit of its jeans and trousers. Lanius In the production of its collection the Lanius label by Natwear from Cologne pays special attention to observing social and ecological standards. The designs for next summer are light, vibrant, casual and feminine and captivate with their ingenious and harmonious colour compositions. Whether casual as jeans, feminine with lightweight dresses (finished for the first time in a very fine 95 gm organic jersey fabric) or as 60s-style tunics, all are highly wearable. Little Italy In the new “Little Italy” segment over 30 designers will be presenting lively, independent young fashion in the heart of the exhibition centre. In the open air surrounded by fine-grained sand, bathing huts, umbrellas and deckchairs labels like “Zweitracht”, Lotte Voss, Red Monkey and “Zinnober” will be presenting original bags, shoes, blouses and accessories. On the Sunday and Monday of the fair there will be an open-ended party at “Little Italy” with music and a happy hour over a glass of Aperol or prosecco. Mayaa’s One-Offs for the Evening A very young brand from Great Britain will be taking CPD by surprise with hand-made evening bags. Every Mayaa piece is unique and designed for elegant, style-assured women who want to draw attention to themselves with select accessories. Typical for Mayaa’s signature style is lavish embroidery, Swarowski crystals and semi-precious stones, fine silk, buttersoft leather, ultra-fine linen and precious brocade. The aim here is to draw attention at every event with both the couture and prêt-a-porter line. Unique in Hall 10 Renowned across Europe, the fashion label unique will be celebrating its 10-year success story in Hall 10 at CPD with an anniversary fashion show. Presented on a stand measuring 250 square metres, the anniversary collection will feature evening and cocktail dresses for young, trend-conscious women. Unique stands for modern designs, strong trend colours, unusual catalogues and trade fair presentations that all reflect the image of the brand. Premiere für Schwarzwaldkirsch The designers at Schwarzwaldkirsch draw on the environment for their inspiration using this to form contemporary daily fashion that underlines and pays court to the wearer’s individuality. Under the motto “Love me like Belmondo” the dresses and bags surprise us with a material mix of traditional and topical elements of fashion and its different epochs. With playful ease this young fashion label manages to create urban street couture, daring to juggle glamour and class with naivety and rebellion and winning.
