Vicenzaoro spring 2007: confirmation

With a 0.25% increase in visitors the second international gold jewelry event at the Vicenza Fair confirms 2006 figures. Foreign operators made a good show (+9.25%), drop in Italians.

Vicenzaoro spring 2007 closed at the Vicenza Fair, the international exhibition of gold jewelry, silverware, watches and jewelry technologies. Figures showed a basic positive trend with 0.25% more professional visitors than the 2006 edition (11,333 against 11,305) from 110 countries.
Foreign operators were up by 9.25%, accounting for 46.8% of the total. While Italian operators dropped by 6.55% and represented 53.12% of visitors.
Vicenzaoro spring thus offers mid-year confirmation of the livelier situation abroad when compared to the Italian domestic market. Analysing the figure in detail, Europe posted a total increase of 7.12%. First place was taken by countries in the East (+34.07%), followed by the ex Soviet Union (+23.91). The result from the Mediterranean zone was also good, registering a 40.4% rise.
North and Central America showed +28% and +20.28% respectively, with the South close behind at +15.56%. Good results also from the Middle East which more than doubled its participation, going from 40 in 2006 to 108 this year (+170%). Finally Oceania also showed an upward trend with +5.36%. Meanwhile Great China (namely Hong Kong, the People’s Republic of China and Taiwan) dropped by 27.57%, as did the Far East (+4.64%) and the Indian zone (+1.27%). There were 70 journalists present representing 55 publications, 69 of whom were foreign from 24 countries.
Oromacchine also showed good results as far as visitors were concerned, with 50% higher attendance at this exhibition of technology for gold and jewelry than at the May 2006 edition.
Vicenzaoro will be back with the autumn edition from 15 to 19 September.
